Was it a mistake to uninstall Flash Player from Windows 8?

i have lenovo y580 laptop ie10 windows 8.  not able view embedded videos on websites , searched problem online.  somewhere ran in information glitches flash player , windows 8.  found instructions on how delete flash player files windows 8 using combination of steps on websites below.  able view embedded videos don't understand did/whether have issues in future due deleting flash.  when type in search box flash player it shows flash player 32 bit flash settings manager.  im confused deleted , the cons this may  i not super computer savvy

flash player integrated internet explorer in windows 8. it's unnecessary install or uninstall flash player.

 

since have uninstalled, may want @ document reinstalling flash player: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/flash-player-issues-windows-8.html

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
