Advice on font for lettering

hi,

 

im desigining logo company , want letters mla stand out rest of company name beside letters if makes sense have 2000+ fonts on computer , have looked through of them , letters bad whichever font have tried. font needs bold , corporate no curly lettering etc. have advice on font.

how can advise on typeface mla work in way relative "the rest of company name", if don't show "the rest of company name"?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
