I can't get my creative suite 4 to install on new hard drive

i purchased adobe creative suite 4 several years ago , installed on laptop.  still using same laptop had them install new harddrive.  didn't think losing programs said they'd put stuff on external harddrive , move on one.  when tried move photoshop on gives me error 6.  talked adobe , said me if had serial numbers.  have moved several times since didn't have discs able find discs, along serial number.  tried install discs last night , computer won't recognize them, says blank discs.  these same ones installed programs with, haven't been touched since.  cd drive works fine other cd put in it.  ugh can do?    spent lot of money on program can't afford buy again.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
