PDF Portfolios: Viewing InDesign Documents

hello,

i've purchased cs6 design standard adobe acrobat x pro. recently, i've been working on indesign document , part of pdf portfolio.

as i'm new using acrobat, can ask whether users able view or edit indesign document via pdf portfolio if not have indesign on system?

in same way, users able see indesign, word, excel , powerpoint files via adobe reader if not have ms office , indesign on system? i'm trying understand whether best convert work, indesign or office 2013, pdf format before putting them in pdf portfolio.

thanks!

phil

they won't able work indesign document if don't have indesign installed. same other file types, in general, though may have other software installed (e.g., word viewer, openoffice, etc.) allow viewing and/or editing. if users need able view documents , not edit them, converting pdf idea. if need edit, include both pdf , source document each one.
