Select All, Copy OR Flatten... row of pixels missing?

in cs6 psd documents (but not all), when select (no feather) , copy, result in clipboard 1 pixel smaller in height original—the bottom row missing. verified pasting, selecting layer's contents, , reading info window, or starting new document defaults clipboard image's size. 1 pixel small. in addition, when paste on top of original (which intention) can see shift 1 pixel. (showing image has been cropped @ bottom, rather scaled.)

 

i viewing @ 100%.

 

any guideline when bug or not happen? can't find pattern--maybe it's copy can fail , not select all? seems may happen on previously-scaled document (which know messes text tool semi-permanently). hate having go through step of double-checking dimensions of every single copy , paste.

 

thanks help! i'm trying somewhere near old cs3 productivity, it's struggle new bugs!

 

(this different bug rectanbgular selections loose 1 pixel of vertical when release mouse button @ 100% zoom, although sound related. longstanding bug happens 100% of time, @ least can see in info box has happened—one more constant act of double-checking ps6 work seems need. whereas in this bug, info window shows correct full size of document after select all—but when copy, result has lost data.)

 

edit add: see in same document, similar happens when flatten document: single-pixel row turns white... @ top.

 

flattened/background layers seem immune copy/paste height loss, thought i'd flatten image want copy... flatten loses data, it's no help.

what dimentions document in? can tell content or modifications (especially scale changes) may have been done?

 

my best guess have partial pixel's worth of material @ 1 end of document , when copy contents, not able copy partial pixel , ends rounding down whole number

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
