Thread: Apache hostname settings changed on ubuntu upgrade

i upgraded version of ubuntu, , i'm having problem server's hostname.

server hosts intranet, access before computer on network @ http://intranet
url still works on server machine, no other machines can use url. can still access through ip address other machines, know it's , working, can't hostname work again.

i've checked etc/hosts file , seems fine. i'm bit new not sure else check. appreciated!

some more info. upgraded 9.10 10.04.
ip address changed in process, updated in etc/hosts allowed local server access through http://intranet. didn't solve problem other computers on network.

found info on changing 'namevirtualhost *:80' 'namevirtualhost *' in ports.conf , sites-available/default, didn't work either. ideas?
