Thread: mounting CDs on /cdrom rather than /media/label

i using lubuntu oneiric , mounting cds on /media/cd-label folder. how can set cds automatically mounted on /cdrom folder (that folder exists). help.

howdy,

short answer cannot that. reason because linux desktop systems designed handle multiple cdroms , usb devices , uses labels prevent ambiguity.

long answer on http://tldp.org, explained above, may not idea.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
