Thread: problems installing screenfetch in terminal

so downloaded 'screenfetch-dev-2.3.7.tar.gz' i moved home folder & unpacked it.

open terminal & 'ls' lists there in directory. when `chmod +x /screenfetch/screenfetch-dev`

'chmod cannot access `/path/to/screenfetch/screenfetch-dev': no such file or directory'

missing please?

so, if it's in home folder, try:

code:
cd ~/ #cd home folder, if aren't cd screenfetch #cd screenfetch dir ls #see what's here chmod u+x screenfetch
i think you've typed wrong, no disrespect.

way of doing go file in nautilus (file browser) , right-clicking on file -> properties -> permission , tick 'allow executing file program'-this same thing.
