Thread: Software RAID installation

have pair of identical 2tb hard drives attempting install ubuntu 10 onto using software raid option on alternate installation cd. have tried following guide @ https://help.ubuntu.com/community/in...n/softwareraid no joy. have tried hardware raid using mobo onboard raid , pci-e raid controller claimed work linux turns out not to. has out there managed complete successfull installation of ubuntu 10 on raid-1 array either using cheap hardware controller or software raid? , if how??

do plan run 1 big root partition , 1 small swap? or want more specific setup?
