Can I render video only?

i've searched several discussion forums learn why after effects keeps causing me rendering issues. common cause reported after effects has issues quick time 7. work around recommended use previous version of quick time. camera records files quick time 7 play. can work around audio issues between 2 programs rendering video only? can import file without audio? know of reasonable workaround issue?

well, rather let guess around, why not provide "hard"info? sorry so, you're losing in vagueries based on hearsay. if have specific issues, explain them , provide relevant info - system specs, file specs, ae version, render settings, comp settings , on.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
