noise reduction in CS6

i used noise reduction audtion 2.0 , worked well. tried use same filter in cs6, not work audition 2 same procedure. highlight background noise area , apply capture noise print. open noise reduction filter , select whole file , apply using default setting. reduced little bit intead of making noise area flat in old version.

 

see video demo showing did in link above. did miss?

the nr has been revised since audition 2, , there's no guarantee default settings work on files - when all's said , done, are different, after all. should try increasing amount of nr applied using slider, , if don't results, increase fft size, retake noise sample, , try again. if anything, version works little better audition 2 version imho.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
