Reinstall gotcha

i have several challenges. first, audio tracks sound great in audition seem change pitch when played in premiere. couldn't find answer problem , decided best uninstall pp , download new install. after several tries, download appeared , clicked install button , waited find of support files didn't installed. after several re-tries download again find option update? premiere. odd since app no longer on drive. obvioulsy didn't work well.

 

i broke down , tried on-line chat "support" person didn't have idea of (beyond had tried). after wasted half-hour decided try live call support perhaps communicate problem better. well.... after 2 changes of "support" folks, couldn't understand half of indian/english pronunciation. i'm quite tolerant, geeze, why can't ever talk support person can understand?

 

at present have pretty given hope in talking me through install problem. i'm losing money minute because have turn. paint me frustrated.

 

can me understand issue can work?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
