Scaling clipped text frames

hi, have text frame anchored rectangle. text frame same size rectangle , of text gets clipped. want scale text frame 99% text not clipped. want change scaling instead of geometric bounds of text frame ensure don't overset text. want scale text frame around center point. there few things don't understand this:

 

1) looks can change horizontalscale , verticalscale (or absolutehorizontalscale , absoluteverticalscale) values, when query them after setting them 99, return 100. thought return 99 can see scaled, in case script run twice.

 

2) see there scale , transform methods, not sure if 1 of these preferable.

 

in case, there way me test see if text frame (or other object) has been scaled? , if can give me overview of best way scale these text frames, can actual syntax in object references. in advance help.

notice app.transformpreferences.whenscaling options.

 

if set whenscalingoptions.adjust_scaling_percentage

 

you can see current scale factor , able redefine scaling 100%

but awared side effects:

i.e. scaled text pointsize property keeps original value
