Thread: Access Point with Onboard Wi-Fi

hi,
installed ubuntu v11.10 on laptop, replacing windows. want use onboard wireless card create wireless access point wi-fi access other devices (phones, laptops, etc.) share internet connection (wired). in windows 7, use connectify - turns laptop access point easily. note: access point , not ad-hoc device-to-device connection many mobile phones can't connect ad-hoc connections.
there way same done in ubuntu?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
