Thread: Dual display with Ubuntu 11.10

hi,

installed ubuntu 11.10 on pc today, pc has ati radeon x1550 graphics card supports dual display via 1 vga , 1 dvi ports, bot ports appear functional mirrors of each other, tried un-mirror changing display setting, system appears frozen, have reboot system unplugging power supply, after reboot, mirrors remain.

please , treat me newbie, first time insatll ubuntu.

there checkbox on display panel have uncheck stop mirroring.

might work is, once open display panel, go top , drag current left-most display outline right. make (currently right-most) panel new primary panel.

then, reboot.

see if allows uncheck mirroring checkbox.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
