downloaded icedax lenovo t61 10.04 ubuntu. icedax not showup in applications menu. showup in /usr/bin not open.

that's because icedax not gui application, it's command line audio extractor, debian's replacement cdda2wav | cdparanoia

run
man icedax or icedax -h
, or install cdrkit-doc, browse /usr/share/doc/cdrkit-doc/icedax, there files can read.

long run you'd better off finding ripping app & using it, there quite few available
