Thread: Intel DZ68DB and Ubuntu

hello, happy new year!

first of i'd introduce myself: name alejandro , i'm new lynux , ubuntu. first experience lynux based os , i'm eager see has offer.

i'm not sure if correct place question, sorry if it's not:

have installed latest ubuntu version on machine , can't proper resolution set up. it's running @ 1024x768 , can't other resolutions. motherboard problem or monitor driver problem?

have following pc:

motherboard: intel dz68db
micro: intel i5-2310
ram: 4gb
monitor: samsung syncmaster 2253nw

sorry if posted already, tried info on forums didn't find anything.

if haven't try going system -> preferences -> monitors , see if can select resolution (if you're using 11.10 believe typing monitors search bar bring up, i'm not sure haven't used unity much)

personal knowledge it's linux not lynux

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
