Thread: Monitor Not Detected 11.10

i have installed ubuntu 11.10 on desktop , had plug in second monitor operating system installed. hoping after installation able detect sceptre monitor. not expert @ linux dont know need or install can use monitor. can give me suggestions? thanks.

system information: intel® core™2 quad cpu q6700 @ 2.66ghz × 4
graphics card: geforce gts 250
nvidia driver version: 280.13
monitor 1: nec lcd1715 (ubuntu detects , displays correctly on monitor)
monitor 2: sceptre x246w-1080p (ubuntu not detect display @ all, not during boot.)

do have nvidia driver card?
in 1 nvidia, no linux generic one.

i'm curious know if monitor shows in output of command

for additional giggles, might switch screens in plug in sceptre port 1 on graphics card, maybe solitary verify really doesn't see thing, , not configuration of graphics card.
