Thread: new to ubuntu - lost all free disk space last night - dont know why!?

hey all. ive been pretty new ubuntu. friend gave me 'loaner' computer when other 1 crashed im still learning go , havent had problems until last night. have asus eee pc. doesnt have free disk space is, around 2.5gb when clean, move of stuff external. last night randomly when deleting things computer, wouldnt change disk space. tried doing nautilus trash dump, , seemed free gb, when checked again today, im down 0 free bytes. please me out. computer , need continue use artwork.

welcome forums! how large hard drive? (15gb recommended minimum ubuntu.)

ubuntu includes disk usage analyzer utility show files/folders using space. that's place start, luck!
