Thread: Publicly discuss warnings in order to keep moderators from abusing their role

today, received warning ubuntu forums staff member 'nothingspecial', due following allegation:

reason:
-------
insulted other member(s)

if going complain discrimination you'd better not making sweeping sexist generalizations in post.
in fact, 'sexist generalizations' staff member talks follows:

of course, many women, paid attention fancy looks rather usability.
that sentence thread:
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1898818

can see, said 'like many women'. didn't women. obviously, staff member prefers personal interpretation on what's written. , so, got warning in staff members personal fantasy, not based on facts.

suggest introduce sub-forum , vote system warnings. warnings should publicly discussed, community can vote if consider warning appropriate or not. otherwise, there no means against such zealot behavior. sending warning straight away, without giving chance respond first, , cowardly private message -- invites staff members abuse role in above case.

suggest introduce vote system, community can vote against staff members abuse moderator role.

thread moved resolution center.
