Thread: Trying to install to Compact Flash card

hi, i'm trying install onto cf card. using old pc 512 ram (which maximum) , 1.2 celeron. have new 4 gb adata cf card connect cf ide 2.5 adapter, 2.5 3.5 ide adapter. having trouble when gets partitioning 11.10 freezes , 10.04 says has problems size of partitions.

have been reading , found partition size wont work, managed install 8.04 unto one, did install without swap space. tried 10.04 without swap space did not work, i'm downloading 8.04 try out on one.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
