Thread: Why does Ubuntu 11.10 run an FSCK on every boot?

hi everyone

using ubuntu 11.10 alternate cd, set luks encrypted lvm home , swap folders encrypted well. i've done many times , never had issues.

however, last 4-5 installs i've found necessary run sudo touch /forcefsck due system freezing during update. wanted force system check on next reboot make sure ok since had shut pc down manually.

in doing however, each time boot, system runs fsck (rather every 30 days it's supposed to).

there relatively easy way can resolve this?.

help, cb

"sudo touch /forcefsck"
should of created empty file in root file system as
/forcefsck

maybe file not being deleted on bootup?
