After re-install of OS X and re-install of Acrobat 9, I no longer can 'scan to pdf'.

my scanner no longer available when try scan pdf in acrobat 9. after hard drive wipe , re-install of os , acrobat , photoshop, etc. can not scan pdf anymore used to. photoshop has plugin downloadable adobe makes photoshop cs6 work again charm , can scan directly photoshop... not acrobat. can find no plugin scan acrobat on adobe website. when go 'about adobe plugins' under acrobat menu, acrobat indicates plugin exists 'scan' not active. weird. has happened every time have done new re-install years every version of acrobat have owned. why every other twain enabled app own work? why photoshop twain plugin work?   ...but not acrobat!!! frustrating. long enough between re-installs me forget how got things work since last time happened. , have trouble finding resolutions on adobe website... (like i'm guy has ever happened - am).

 

is fixed in acrobat xi? because that's hoping when upgraded last time acrobat 9... not.

 

anyone helpful thoughts please let me know...

 

i have date software , drivers available. although scanner old enough apple no longer provides software updates model , epson downloads page says go apple software update recent drivers. butmy unit still works new , - said - of other scanning apps still work great.
