Photoshop, Lightroom, Bridge, who knows what when?

sorry bizarre title, i"m not sure how whole connection between smart objects supposed work...  photoshop thing, bridge thing, or lightroom thing?

i have raw image in lightrom...  make adjustments.  open in photoshop smart object.  add layers, fiddle, normal photoshop stuff.

then realize goofed on original raw in lightroom , had sharpened before went photoshop.

so, open raw photoshop, of course, opens in bridge, not lightroom, , fix sharpening.  photoshop finish fiddling , save .psd file.

except, near can tell, have raw file in lightroom doesn't know changes have been made.

and, since haven't written metadata raw file on disk, have file in lightroom doesn't match what's on disk, .psd file doesn't match raw file that's in lightroom,

and changes made in bridge don't seem anywhere...

how make sure raw file in lightroom stays up-to-date what's being used starting image in photoshop?  , how lightroom updated whatever changes got made in bridge?

actually raw edits did in bridge done in plug-in called adobe camera raw (sorry add 1 more complicating program above).  don't use lightroom should read edits.  bridge acr , lightroom acr same version?
