Printing in Lightroom

when print out of print module in lightroom there process behind scenes converts print jpg or print raw file?  maybe first question is, difference between printing raw file vs. jpg , matter print?  in advace feedback!

if data raw, there conversion (but not jpeg). if jpeg, gets sent of course, jpeg data.

 

jpeg lossy compressed 8-bit per color data. data raw high bit no data loss or compression. on paper, may see better output raw jpeg depending on quality of said jpeg. edit , save jpeg enough, you'll end data loss results in banding on output seen on smooth gradients.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
