Thread: Alsa and STAC9750

iḿ newby.

have panasonic toughbook cf29, , installed few different distros learn linux, , out of older machine. @ moment itś xubuntu, problem has been same puppy, lubuntu, ...

cant sound out of whatever distro try. @ best quiet audio headphones only.

ive read alsamixer, , cranking volumes max. ive read adding line alsa-base.conf model=... can find reference anywhere chipset sigmatel stac9750,51 (on irq9)

card intel 82801db-ich4.

ive come conclusion card isnt supported alsa , there nothing can do.

hope out there can tell me wrong.

next post includes details hope relevant.

help. 4 days working on this, iḿ ready reach winxp cd.
