hi, i'm using puredyne 'carrot , coriander' based on ubuntu 9.10. tell me how save password wifi don't default keyring password nag @ start up.

of corse isn't recommended, need reset keyring's password blank - particularly unadvised if using auto login (i suspect if keeps asking password.)

this, use program "seahorse" it'll give warning not being secure of something, let change blank. sorry can't more precise, i'm on tab @ mo, can't check, it's pretty straight forward!

if disable autoamtic login , sign in each time power on, keyring should start wi-fi automatically without password prompt - unless changed password?


keyring acts same kde's wallet , osx's keychain - encrypts , stores passwords, in terms of security it's best use different password log in, mail key ring, wifi keyring etc... , not store them sticky on desktop!

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
