isn't painfully easy, having removed windows yesterday, i'm still trying find way around ubuntu morning.

question ppas. ran piece of software install , ran me through steps adding ppa list of software sources. ok. cool. what? how run software? can see added list...

help!

after adding ppa, need install software, ie

code:
sudo apt-get update  sudo apt-get install your_desired_software
where your_desired_software software wish install. should see in applications menu, ready go.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
