Thread: Mounted file system permissions

i having trouble permissions while mounting cifs file system located on openmediavault server.

if mount through nautilus, works fine. unfortunately, doesn't allow me access data in every program, trying mount using /etc/fstab file @ startup.

example, have below line in fstab:

//192.168.1.11/test /home/glen/test-folder cifs guest,_netdev 0 0

server setup share public. created on server owned nobody:nogroup, when go ~/test-folder in nautilus, things marked read , cannot modify or delete them.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
