Thread: rescuing FAT32 partition "Logical sector size is zero"


hi, in process of resizing fat32 partition on external hard drive gparted when happened (not sure what) , it's not recognised....

running dosfsck comes error "logical sector size zero" , quits. if check disk utility says partition 'healthy' whatever means....

ideas if can rescued?

post this:

sudo sfdisk -l -us

backup current partition table device in case. if not sdb change correct device.
sudo sfdisk -d /dev/sdb > parts.txt

, take testdisk see says, may able revert old partition table?

if not rebooted recover partition:
