Thread: screen brightness changed in the wrong way

in 11.10 hardware buttons change brightness works strange on toshiba satellite.

when press fn+f6( wanted make dark), screen gets brightened, graphical bar shows darkened.
when press fn+f7(wanted make brigh), screen gets darkened, graphical bar shows brightened.

graphical bar show minimum when screen brightest., , shows maximum when screen darkest.

idea?

*bump*
happened toshiba nb500 netbook, happened after replacing screen. did change screen around?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
