Thread: how to allow certain mac address in layer3 switch 3550 and deny rest

hi

working on mac access-list in cisco 3550 layer 3 switch.

here config

mac access-list extended abc
permit host 0035.6983.3654 any
deny any

interface fastethernet0/23
switchport access vlan 100
switchport mode access
mac access-group abc in

fastethernet 23 connected router.

if give continous ping mac have permitted able ping after 20 mins getting rtos

, if try add few macs permit list getting rtos

can me on this

requirement allow few macs , deny rest.

i apologize less helpful reply, seems rather out of context forum. how ubuntu security issue?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings.
