Thread: My session crashes very often

hello.
use ubuntu 11.10 default unity interface. last 15-20 days meet such problem: during working session crashes , system logges out. log in again after 1-2 hours happens again. after each crash log in , open /var/log/syslog file , see same error in crash time:

jan 6 21:35:41 elvin-aspire-5741 gnome-session[24121]: gdk-warning: gnome-session: fatal io error 11 (resource temporarily unavailable) on x server :0.#012

think error can lot problem. there idea? laptop ram 4gb, core i5. hardware not bad.

i'm having same crash on dell vostro, running ubuntu 11.10.

have searched around , haven't found info on problem. related graphics cards drivers apparently.

ideas?

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
