Thread: PHP - open in firefox: localhost...?

i'm running ubuntu 11.04 , have lamp installed. store php files at.... var/www/php
when open file firefox, open this... file:///var/www/php/test.php -- (which not work).

if change address to... localhost/php/test.php
render php code fine. there way tell files in var/www open starting localhost/?

i'm pretty new appreciated. mark

the way can open php files through web server (by using http://localhost address in web browser).

server can't used open, or execute random files clicking on them in file manager or that, has pretty strict configuration files , directories it's supposed use, , isn't made work local users opening files file manager.
