salutations!

i'm bit of eco-nut. have habit of turning off light switches , plugs @ wall. ever since last desktop computer, after turning off (or had finished putting hibernation) wait 7-10 seconds , turn both monitor , desktop's plugs off @ wall. okay or damage computer? should wait longer?

it should fine.
computers, after shutting down completely, still have residual power running motherboard goes down gradually (over space of few seconds). power comes power supply of computer, not wall socket, if unplug computer power supply act would. won't have worry damage computer.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
