Thread: Sound not working on Laptop

hello, reason have no sound on computer. had sound before installed package installs flash , java. forgot called after installed that, have no sound anymore. can please tell me how enable sound?

did try suspend-resume cycle? use alsa-info-script provide detailed information.
run command in terminal:

wget http://www.alsa-project.org/alsa-info.sh -o alsa-info.sh && bash alsa-info.sh
choose upload option , provide link output.

i using ubuntu desktop on lucid , keyboard changes british keys american keys, #/£, ~/| , "/@ around. in system->preferences->keyboard menu have set keyboard uk. when log via putty uk keys come out right. there other place more configuration required? /vfclistsguy actually settings should enough.. can try setxkbmap -query see current layout settings. how do I change the e-mail address for my merchant account
